DEAD EMOTIONS was founded in 1996 as dark/death-metal combo and quickly gained attention by playing many shows. 1999 saw Gates to the unseen released as DEAD EMOTIONS' first self-produced album that grew quite popular in the German underground and received many good reviews in several magazines (Rock Hard, Legacy, Ablaze, Orkus and more). First contacts to record labels emerged after Gates to the Unseen was elected Demo of Month Sept. 2000 in the METAL HAMMER magazine.
After the first edition of Gates to the Unseen was out of stock in September 2001, DEAD EMOTIONS signed a promotional contract with Medusa Productions, who immensely helped to increase the worldwide Underground attention and distribution of the album's 2nd edition.
The 2nd album The Genesis Behind sounds technically more experienced, faster, harder and at the same time much groovier than it's predecessor. In addition to the perfectly produced sound, this album mainly stands out because of it's powerful riffs, haunting melodies, boosting dynamic parts and musical independence.
In 2003, after signing a distribution contract with MDD Records/ALIVE, together with the outstanding album and the “Thrash to Death”-tour through Germany & Luxembourg (presented by Legacy Mag.) with Debauchery in 2004, DEAD EMOTIONS got more and more interest in the metal world.
2006 was a very interesting live-year for Germany's newcomer, playing a co-headliner-tour with DEBAUCHERY and a lot of festivals and shows (with OBITUARY, ONKEL TOM ANGELRIPPER, DEW-SCENTED a.m.m.).
In June 2007, DEAD EMOTIONS produced a video clip for the song There Is No Dawn as a bonus feature for the third studio album Pathways To Catharsis, which was recorded in August 2007 and released in February 2008 through Bad Land Rec./Twilight. Before that, there was already a european pre-release-tour in October and November 2007 together with FEAR MY THOUGHTS and the Bad Land Festival Tour afterwards.
Currently, DEAD EMOTIONS is working on the production of a video clip for At The End Of Time, the apocalyptic ballad from Pathways To Catharsis which will be shot in summer and released in autumn.
So all in all, DEAD EMOTIONS are looking into an interesting future… |
